Fall 2024 Move-in Details

日期: Saturday, August 17th  8:00am - 12:00 Noon for all Freshmen 学生.

Sunday, August 18th 8:00am - 12:00 Noon for all Upperclassmen 学生.  

Arrivals cannot be guaranteed accommodation outside of this date.

登机过程: Residents will arrive at their assigned residence hall where they will be greeted by Residence Life staff. There, they will receive their building and room keys and complete necessary paperwork. Once that is complete, residents are free to move in! *Bankston, Horsfall, and Royer Hall residents will arrive first at the Student Success Center Suite 204 if they have not already taken their bc365游戏 ID Picture!

身份证: Residents will need their bc365游戏 ID Card to access the cafeteria on August 13!

停车吊牌: Residents who do not already have a parking hang tag can get one on Monday, August 14 by following these two easy steps: 1) Visit the Cashier's Office (Harris Hall, 2nd Floor) to pay $30 for the year. 2) Visit the 大学警察 Station to pick 挂上吊牌. Residents must bring the receipt from the Cashier's Office, a current driver's license, bc365游戏 ID Card, and a vehicle registration card.

新同学: 

Pack as much as you can into boxes, baskets, or shelves/drawers that can be taped 或者封闭. 
Write your room number and residence hall initials (e.g., Bankston Hall = BH) on all 你的物品. 
You will receive instructions once on campus regarding parking your vehicle. 
Once your car is unloaded, follow directions for moving your car and making a space for the next car to be unloaded.

RETURNING STUDENTS:  

Bring your own carts or hand trucks/dollies for moving in large items. 
University Apartment Residents: Please be aware that there is limited parking at the apartment complexes, so be considerate of the number of vehicles you bring with you.
Here are our suggestions as you think about packing for bc365游戏

  • Bedding - sheets, mattress pad, pillow, bedspread
  • Towels and washcloths
  • 肥皂
  • Hangers, iron, ironing board

  • Scissors, stapler, hole punch
  • Pens ,Pencils, highlighters
  • Post-it notes, super-glue
  • 3M Command Strips and white sticky tack*
  • Computer paper, envelopes, stamps, tape
  • Liquid laundry detergent - no pods!  
  • Cleaning supplies, Vacuum Cleaner (if bringing personal rug/carpet)
  • Can-opener, plastic ware, plates, cups, bowls
  • Paper towels, Kleenex
  • 急救箱
  • Computer (LAN cable if not wireless)
  • TV and connecting cables

  • Study lamp (NOT halogen)

  • Curtains and tension rods (NOT anchor brackets)

学生 are allowed to bring the following appliances: 

  • Refrigerator that must be smaller than 4.5立方英尺.  
  • Microwaves small is encouraged.
  • Televisions, flat screen TVs may not be mounted to the walls  

Please do NOT bring the following items:  

  • 宠物  
  • Candles, which are not even permitted for decoration
  • Open flame / open coil appliances
  • 卤素灯
  • Weapons, Knifes, Machetes, ETC.

  • "Bring food containers and utensils. Don’t be left eating snacks with your fingers.”
  • “Bring cleaning supplies so you can keep your room clean.  健康 & 安全检查 are held once a month and they check to make sure you cleaned!”
  • “Don’t bring all your stuff on the first day. Wait until you get settled to buy just 你需要什么?.”
  • “Bring an extra set of sheets to use on laundry day.”
  • “Call your roommate before you arrive to arrange the plans for check in day. 试着 arrive at the same time so that no one feels left out.”
  • “Get to know your roommate so you know their likes and dislikes.”
  • “Don’t use nails, tacks or screws on the walls. You will have to pay for damages.” 
  • “Make sure you meet your RA when you arrive. She/he will help you when you have questions."
  • “Don’t cut carpet to fit your room! Just bring an area rug." 
  • “Always carry your student ID card with you.”
  • “Don’t be afraid to ask questions.”
  • “Make sure you set an alarm so you don’t miss class!”
